Environmental Sustainable Design

PROJECT ONE - GREEN-GO 2013 INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM CONTEST 



A short film based on the life of our most precious resource - water & how we can overcome shortages.

Learning Outcomes: 



  1. More aware of environmental conditions.
  2. Explore the concepts of environmental and ecological sustainability
  3. Ability to recognize role and responsibility of an architect towards the environment and society.
PROJECT TWO - APPRECIATING ENVIRONMENT - NOTHING IS CONSIDERED WASTE (GROUP RESEARCH POSTER)

Group research poster showing the amount of waste generated on-site, life cycle assessment and individual creative model using wastes from site.

Learning Outcomes :

  1. Ability to generate basic awareness for waste and environmental stress.
  2. Ability to identify materials used for construction and categorise them into renewable and non-renewable. 
  3. Ability to understand the life cycle of different materials.
  4. Ability to understand the importance & impacts of recycling.


PROJECT 3 - APPRECIATING THE ENVIRONMENT (NOTHING IS CONSIDERED WASTE) INDIVIDUAL CREATIVE PRODUCT 

 Individual creative products of respecting group members 

Individual creative product - A (function able) clock made from waste wires gathered from construction sites. 

Learning Outcomes:
  1. Ability to produce a creative and meaningful object from construction waste.
  2. Ability to generate awareness and appreciation towards the environment.
  3. Ability to understand the importance of recycling and the reuse of waste materials.
